It is actually, what isn't realistic is reloading after every time you fire off a burst, which is pretty much what you have to do in any fps.

That's a difference issue then. That's because reload speeds are ridiculously fast. Btw that problem doesn't exist in Red Orchestra.

Sharks are not monsters Henley, they are cute, cuddly and misunderstood. They love humans. sometimes they love TOO much. They love people so much that sometimes their kisses separate people into two flailing pieces which are consumed by other sharks in a frenzy of peace and joy.

I like to call this 'Counter-Strike Syndrome'.

Seriously though, I really like RO for it's reloading system; the only time you discard a magazine is if it's empty.

I mean I know Obama was the first one in EiR to get a card. and tbfh the Race card is pretty OP. but Romney has the K.K.K., those guys seem to camo anywhere. So OP units from both sides.
At the end of the day, however, stormtroopers finally got the anal invasion with a cactus they have richly deserved for years.

Are you seriously going to engage in an argument over habitual reloading?

Not habitual. I know when & where is best.

Besides, you're the one making up some stupid name like it's a disease or something.

Been playing BF games since BF 1942.

But when Bad Company game introduced the destructible environment, and narrowed the map and set objectives. I had wayyyyyy more fun with a 12v12 match in Bad Company 1 than i did with any server on 1942 or BF2 with 128. To me Bad Company 1 is probably the greatest FPS to get over looked. Even though it sold very very well, people didnt jump on the bandwagon till BC 2 adopted bunch of MW mechanics. Then you had all the COD fanboys drop COD and started playing BC2.

Besides once you play a FPS that introduces a real good use of destructible environments its hard to go back to some basic static gameplay.

This series is the only one i would pre order b/c i know i am going to like it. So props to dice i guess.

Sounds are realistic and they put in the small details in the game that adds a realism i appreciate.

Tbh Riki, you must flat out wank over RO then considering that it uses mags, and the only indication of how much is left in the mag is it's weight being either light or heavy. :p

this is completely true!!

A magazine system like that is not realistic, you don't throw away ammunition or magazines just because you reload your weapon.

this is true, and false. it IS realistic because a soldier in RL would do a tactical reload, BUT the magazine he takes out he would throwaway in a sense, but he would but it in a satchel or something and save it for later, and would put more bullets in or whatever.

but having magazine count is wayyyy more realistic than bullet count. like i said its more tactical and adds to  a more immersive gameplay rather than spray and pray action.

lol, in the middle of a firefight I am most definitely NOT taking an ejected mag and putting it in a satchel, I'm going to just reload as fast as possible.

Mag systems are great in RL, for a video game I could care less. It just removes a boring step.
