Is there any particular reason that schreks do 120 damage per shot with accuracy .35/.75/1
while the zooks do 75 damage with accuracy .35/.6/1?

No wonder you see those crazy schrek shots more often than zooks because of the medium range accuracy.
And that is a very significant damage difference considering that the platform that can get zooks in the americans is so much flimsier than the units with schreks.

Well zrecks cost 105 each while a zook costs 70 for 2 of them, make math

RR, schreck, and bazooka actually deal 25% more than their listed damage, this is because they have a 1.25% damage modifier in the "small" area of effect. The radius for the "small" distance is listed as 0, but I think this just mean direct hit.

So 1.25 X 75(zook dmg) = 93.75, so it would take 5 penetrating hit to kill a 400 HP ostwind.

PIAT still deals 90 damage afaik

ranger zooks do seem pretty decent for the price but the rifle zooks you can only get one for 50 munitions. I would love zooks if the upgrade was two zooks for 60 or 70 munitions.
Only having the one zook in the rifle squad makes them less cost effective because they do less damage then a schrek and only cost 5 munitions less to take two of them.
You can also take a zook and a sticky for 110 munitions but that combo is still less threatening to armor, and costs 5 more munitions.

Zooks fielded en masse vs. PE = no more halftracks

Riflemen have never been designed as a hard counter to armour of any sort, they are far too squishy. They are a deterrence at best - Treat them as such.

Grenadiers, Airborne and Rangers have enough staying power to be able to combat tanks effectively and have the fire power to do it with their upgrades.

Also, Zooks are deadly on unskirted targets due to doing 50% more damage. Curiously, they still do the 50% extra damage to Tigers as well. If you can get behind them, 4 Zooks that hit will do some downright evil damage for only a 140 mu investment.

I mean I know Obama was the first one in EiR to get a card. and tbfh the Race card is pretty OP. but Romney has the K.K.K., those guys seem to camo anywhere. So OP units from both sides.
At the end of the day, however, stormtroopers finally got the anal invasion with a cactus they have richly deserved for years.

Riflemen zooks should go down in price or change. They're just useless. I'm not gonna pay 50 ammo for something that can barely even damage a halftrack. And more importantly by upgrading them with one 50 ammo zook I lose out on important recrew or upgrades that can actually kill something.

the thing is, if i have a vet 2 rifle squad, i may as well just buy a sticky for them, way better than a zook. but if they aren't vet 2, i get the zook.

1. when do you see Axis without skirts?
2. Most Axis units that you would need AT for deal with both infantry AND armor well (i.e. panther, tiger, panzer IV, Ostwind) so what do you do if you cant kill armor with infantry AT and Armor removing atgs from the equation since most are sufficiently skilled to avoid?
3. what allied unit gets triple AT weapons that can alpha strike almost any allied armor unit? oh none? and Axis get stormies? im not going to argue cloak cause I kinda like it but triple shrek makes them ridiculous even minus the cloak.
4. allies don't have an effective counter to shrek swarms. yes allies have quad and croc but quad is too flimsy against just two squads of shrek grens considering the quad is about as effective as a ostwind that is as mobile as a quad and has more armor. croc is awesome against inf but since when can you get in flame range in time to kill a squad before the grens can get two shots off (assuming its a 1 shrek gren squad by itself) cause at that point your croc is sitting duck for atg or panzer.

I will agree that on paper shrek and zooka seem comparable but in actual gameplay axis have the upper hand in handheld AT in my opinion.

1. From behind
2.  You flank them, like you would flank a MG
3.  What axis units get more than two handheld AT weapons?
4.  Sniper, bars, anything that counters infantry normally.

just like schrecks, they're gerat in support role. the reason schrecks seem to be more awesoem is because of the weaker allied armor and higher penetration rates.

but most zooks do extra dmg to allied tanks, so if you you do get a penetrating hit it does a ton of damage, but only IF you AND if you get a penetrating hit, both of which are tough with it.
