The M9 and Glock17 are mostly utility weapons. They can use each others ammo but they deal about the same damage as a Makarov. The good thing about the M9 is the suppressor allowing you to kill zombies quietly. The good thing about the Glock17 is that it has a flashlight that makes scavenging during night a lot easier.

I was playing alone near elektro, needed food and drink asap. I make my way towards the firehouse, the one near the powerplant, to see if there is anything in there. There''s usually good stuff. I dont want to piss off zombies so im sneaking carefully into it. Constantly checking the perimeter for players, I really dont want to die. I got excellent gear. I walk with my sidearm in hand rdy to shoot zombies the most silent way. I make it into the firehouse, find some food and a MP5, AKM and a M4. Interesting items but Im not looking for that, Im good with my M14 and M4A3 CCO. I go up into the tower of the firehouse and lay down on the floor scanning the perimeter from 3rd person view. I know Im easy to spot if I stay crouched and I dont want to be seen. I just want my drink. Shortly after I see movement in the big open field north west of the firehouse. O my fucking god! 5 survivers closing up onto my position! O crap. Im just here to get a drink, Im playing alone, I got no backup, I got excellent gear, I dont want to die!

I keep my eye on them. They seem to be about 100+ meters away, so I get my M14 rdy. I keep observing them, contemplating my next move. They're still moving towards me, and change to crouch mode. 1 guy in the front is still rapidly moving towards me, the 4 guys behind him have stopped for some reason. Perfect I think by myself. Now is this time to fuck some shit up! I get up into crouch mode, fully aware that Im very visible now. They can easily spot me, I gotta do this fast. I zoom in thru my scope, aiming for the guy in front, following his movement. Im thinking by myself, once he stops Im gonna bring the rain. He stops for a brief moment, the guys behind him are still standing still, I do not hesitate and open fire. BOOM BOOM, 2 shots, perfect accuracy thru the scope and I see him going down, hes falling onto his side. blood coming out. The gunshots are as loud as a sniper rifle, the other 4 must have heard it. Before they realise whats going on or have time to react my crosshair is alrdy one my next target. I shoot 2 times, BOOM BOOM go to the next target and shoot 2 more, I dont have time to wait to see if they are falling down or are hit, 2 shots on each person is my priority. In about 5 seconds total Ive unloaded a rain of M14 bullets on the group. After Ive shot 2 times at the last guy I stop firing and look if anyone is still moving. It seems they are all down on the ground, immobile. I quickly prone down again to get back into cover, savely out of sight. Phew.
I check the bottom left cornor of my screen and see 5 names pop up with killed behing their names. Lol I got em all. I check my stats top right and yes, 5 more kills. Oh my fucking god, I just raped 5 guys in 5 seconds. AWESOME!

We need to find a good "Home" server that we can use, probably Eastern US so it' halfway between us.

I'd like to get 2-3 tents and a couple trucks and a heli parked out somewhere that nobody ever goes.

I'd recommend the NY servers personally, they seem to be very reliable and give europeans an excellent ping. Either that or one of the chicago ones. (Chicago seems to have good admin support as well) Either way, settling on a home server is definitely the best idea for group play, that way at least there is a point in getting vehicles, more gear and tents.

I can't personally be bothered playing on a server without third person, it really annoys me. (IMO it adds immersion, and is just generally more enjoyable while travelling in the open) Seeing names on crosshairs is cheesy, I agree, but IMO it's an acceptable trade-off for not having to deal with mass friendly fire and the rage that would follow on that.

Do you guys still have those vehicles on Virginia? I get slightly higher pings there, and they seem to desync more than other servers I've played on, but maybe it's just me.

This could only be made more hilarious if you used an M203 and shot the flare at him.
