amount of zombies on server seems ridiculous now. you either need to constantly sneak near a town or stay in buildings all the time.

I like this tbh, though Rocket already said it was unintentional. I'd expect the next patch to have a little less again (though the low amount of 1.5.6 really was too low at times, you could easily clear a big city like chernarus or elektra on your own) Remember, it's an alpha, this kind of shot happens. Will have to be really sneaky now, should be fun.

Also, had another amazing game yesterday, trying to survive around elektra at night, was amazing. (The city was like a warzone at times) If you guys haven't bought it yet, for the love of god, do it, you won't regret it.

Ditto, only AUS/NZ servers have a decent ping to play it.

AFAIK there's 3 aus and 1 NZ server, probably not nearly enough but at least you can manage (AFAIK AUS 3 has 70 slots, which is pretty awesome) There's also a Thai server (never full) now, that may give you a better ping. And I'm sure the amount of servers will continue increasing.

Yea, needless to say, their central database server is under a lot of strain, they never expected a huge amount of players to jump into the mod at this stage. The servers themselves also need rebooting every 6 hours, else loot and zombie spawns start bugging out (low amounts, you can see this in the debug monitor)... The servers that DO work properly are all full most of the time, it's insane. (It's nigh impossible to get a large group of friends onto the same server in under 30 minutes) If you get stuck on waiting for server response, give it a few min at most, then just try a different one.

considering its arma, having high ping of 250 doesnt matter

If you register a shot on your computer on a target, It will hit, no matter how far away the target was actually on the server side (Think of COD and having 250 lag, you have to shoot further infront so you can compensate for lag, for Arma, you never need to compensate for lag)

So ping doesnt matter, only if its around the 250 mark

Unknown, about the server reboot, does that mean the items you gained before, disappear after reboot? just wondering

Nope, your character and its gear is saved on the central database server, so you can access it on any server, at any time. Tents and vehicles are server-based, and stay around forever provided the server doesn't crash (or a player steals them while you're offline).

Found new troll tactic that can be done with ease, just run around electro/cherno with your makarov and holding a flare, then sprint by everyone you see and just shoot there legs off, and run, hopefuly you have attracted a horde and they will eat him. If he sucessfuly defends against the hordes of zombies and morphines himself just shoot his legs off again. So easy to do.

Feels like a single 9mm bullet might break a leg, need to test if this is true.
