Is it too short? I realise that by being a 2 man squad, its almost tailor made to go into the fight with whatever squads its supporting. I just feel like the range is too short for what it offers; something with the range of the LT buff might be more appropriate. It would allow the officer to take advantage of shot blockers while buffing nearby rifle squads and allowing said squads to spread out more. There's so much Axis blob control, the short range of the buff encourages grouping your squads together and invites disaster.

Afaik the buff range is 25m.

i personally think the range is fine, but what is silly is that the usa officer is way less effeective then the wehr one.

The usa gives supression so in a sense it only buffs mgs and bars. wehr the axis office buffs damage  so it is far more usefull as well when isnt there a time you need more damage?. with proper tiers and the such it officers great buffs to everything on a platform thats stupid hard to kill.

Axis Officer is silly anyhow. Not only should infantry damage never be buffed by anything but veterancy, but it's giving a huge buff to accuracy at the same time.

To put it in perspective, the level of buffs given by the Axis Officer turns Volks into 5 man Grenadiers, offensively speaking.

Infantry damage should never be buffed by anything but veterancy for two reasons - The damage affects any weapons the squad picks up and it screws with the fine balance that small arms have currently.

I mean I know Obama was the first one in EiR to get a card. and tbfh the Race card is pretty OP. but Romney has the K.K.K., those guys seem to camo anywhere. So OP units from both sides.
At the end of the day, however, stormtroopers finally got the anal invasion with a cactus they have richly deserved for years.

However, you gotta be prepared to be raped by anything P4 and above as you don't have the mid T4, and so have rather weak AT capabilities (Bazooka's do hardly anything to P4's without the mid T4,

Bazookas will kick the crap out of PIV's with or without the mid T4 as long as you flank them. Keep Bazookas around your ATG... They try to rush it, they'll have to take a pair of Bazookas to the ass, which'll drop 240 health if the PIV is unskirted or 180 health if it is.

Bazookas are more than capable of taking on armour as long as your head is screwed on. Bait, flank, split and shoot (Two squads, cant point at both at once), etc. Frontal attacks are for Shrecks and RR's.

Tank Reapers does next to nothing to help Bazookas penetrate from the front. The penetration increase is for all intents and purposes a placebo effect - A dangerous one because you shouldn't be attacking tanks from the front with Bazookas unless in exceptional circumstances (Such as trying to luck out that last 5% health on that heavy).

AT options for Inf doctrine are sound, just micro intensive... Much like most American AT.

Ami officer is almost immune to small arms from long range much like the wehr officer so I'd rather not see the range buffed too much, he is already very survivable.

Made a new infantry doctrine when I was still on staff. Together with BT members, coder and devs. At the end all agreed it was nice and good to go. I wonder why they havent done anything with it or just implemented it.

...You physically cannot bounce a PIV with a Bazooka in the rear, skirts or no skirts.

Alpha, your either one of the biggest bearers of gaming bad luck, or have very sketchy memory/perception of events. I actually want to see a replay of 4 Bazooka's hitting the back of a PIV and doing nothing.

I'm more inclined to think that what happened was all 4 rounds fell JUST short of the PIV.

I feel your pain on bad luck though. I've had a pak miss my Pershing from the front, for it's round to scatter over the top of my Pershing at such an angle that it collides with the back of the hitbox, scoring a rear hit. Annoying as hell.

As for the Cromwell...

It has a 54% chance to penetrate, not including range modifiers. About 44% at max range.

You can get really lucky and penetrate every round, or not penetrate at all. More commonly though, you penetrate roughly 1 out of 2 shots.

For the PIV attacking you, if it hits, it pretty much will always penetrate (122% without range mods, about 97% at max range) so it's all about hoping he misses you, or you hit and fade from the right angles. Speed and dodge is the Cromwell's best assets.

Btw, i notice in some games that i can rip apart P4's with a Cromwell with ease and only loose a bit of health, but in other games i do no damage at all to them and have to run away.

What gives? Is there something that makes the P4 really tanky?
Lower Terror t3 makes p4s real tanky.

Simple:

All docs are being balanced against each other by the BT - currently. The new Infantry doc is no exception.

Your new Inf doctrine is the one that is going to be implemented with the other potential changes.
