Sounds fantastic.

Except the point when the unit falls into the hands of a total pro, a total nub, or a total troll.

If a pro gets their hands on it, the unit wont die and will be a near unstoppable force.

If a nub gets their hands on it, the unit will die pretty much instantly and be wasted.

If a troll gets their hands on it, the unit will be sat in the reserve unit section for the rest of the war.

Supposing you could come up with solutions to all three of those problems at once, it'd be a great idea. But only then.

At the end of the day, however, stormtroopers finally got the anal invasion with a cactus they have richly deserved for years.

I like this idea better - super pershing or maus is a WARMAP EVENT.

One day you log into launcher as axis or allies. You get a prompt saying "SUPER PERSHING NOW IN THE FIGHT".

The lancher makes one super pershing and one maus available through SIDE.

The event is triggered by some predetermined factor, and after that the two units are available in sequential battles for each side through being spawned ingame.

You start a game on neuville and suddendly you see a maus being auto deployed through launcher modification of the battlefile.

The secret to this is making the super pershing and maus roughly equally useful, and costing NULL population.

So the game starts, both sides have 1 player controlling their maus/super pershing.

When the battle is over, the launcher "frees up" the superpershing/maus (regardless of it being destroyed) and allows a new battlenumber to have it.

Once the event completes, the maus/super pershing will not spawn in a battle anymore. Perhaps the total performance of the unit in all games is tracked by the launcher and it calculates some faction-wide bonus based on this.
