He had a knife, better that they shot him than he stabbed someone. He was probably a serial killer on the loose.
afaik US police officers are issued plenty of less than lethal weapons.
In the video it looks like the officers panicked the moment one of them fired the first shot. This might explain why they fired 30+ shots but then it's pretty disturbing that they don't have the firing discipline they ought to have...

Demon posession is real and it's not funny, it's the creepiest thing you will ever experience.

I would also like to add I watch fox news everyday all day and will continue to watch it while being proud of that fact. I'm sure you enjoy your communist news network just as much.

yes pony,to disarm person with a knife you need 30/46 shoots just to be sure he isn't threat anymore
hey, maybe we should arm police with rocket launcher,so when someone drives to fast, they can blow him instantly, because he is a threat to society!
dunno why do they have pistols, they should have machine guns for better crowd control, you never know who else in the crowd might be having a knife,so it's just best to gun everyone down, just to be sure,no one is threat to you!

He had a mental sickness dude, give him his medicine and it helps. Unless I'm misstaken, police is not judge and executive.
The cops most likely did not know that at the time.

What does that change. Look at the situation. Total overkill.

Watched the video.
Yeah, that was pretty much a public execution.
6 Guys and they are worrying about 1 guy with a knife? Really? Bitch please.
1 designated person puts a round to the leg. Job done. 1 Person distracts him, 2-3 restrain and detain without even firing a shot. Add a few more examples that don't involve filling the poor son of a bitch with 4 magazine's worth of fire.
If the guy actually had a firearm, or was in lethal distance of an innocent bystander with the knife? Fine. Put him down. But when he's pretty much surrounded and there is no risk of hitting civilians? Dafuq.

I mean I know Obama was the first one in EiR to get a card. and tbfh the Race card is pretty OP. but Romney has the K.K.K., those guys seem to camo anywhere. So OP units from both sides.

At the end of the day, however, stormtroopers finally got the anal invasion with a cactus they have richly deserved for years.

You have to understand that a person with a knife 20 feet away can be on top of you in a split second.
He refused to put down his weapon, now he pays for it, fairy tale ending tbh.
Isn't shooting crazy people with knives the reason we have a police force to begin with?

If I get shot and it's a gay medic fixing me up, he's not gonna be fondling my balls while he does it. You can't patch a chest wound and suck a cock at the same time.

Quite on the contrary, if you are full of adrenalin things will slow down for you, so a guy 20 feet away won't be on top of you "in a split second". Not even 4meters away.

Yeah, we figured that much out already, and you know what?
THIS IS WHAT WE SHOULD EXPECT POLICE OFFICERS, PEOPLE WE HAND GUNS, TO PROTECT, TO FUCKING NOT DO.
In case of a non officer opening fire first? Sure, BUT THE GUY HAD A KNIFE... You only made them look worse.

The officer is considerably better than a riflemen squad at carrying weapons.
Officers have good accuracy so they will hit most targets.

I will never ever shoot for a leg.
If someone is shooting at me, coming at me with a knife, or any such bullshit I'm shooting center mass. Drugs can and do keep people from stopping, adrenaline keeps people from stopping, when you shoot you shoot to kill.
TBH, police draw guns to prevent people from attacking in the first place. It is much more effective than the threat of a non-lethal and a bit more jail sentence. Especially since you never know what you will encounter.
Gun laws do not prevent anyone from owning a gun. Just like drug laws don't stop drugs and piracy laws don't stop you from downloading media. Unfortunately, even if a vehicle is registered to someone that is not a registered gun owner they can still be armed. I have friends in law enforcement, too many of their buddies have been shot or attacked when making routine traffic stops.

And every cop is fast and accurate enough to do this? I'm sure I read a article that said most cops haven't even shot a gun before training.

Maybe I need to find that old video of the cop showing restraint against a guy at a traffic stop, that video were the cop ends up getting killed because he didn't want to take the first shot.
