A concealed weapon, is not just a knife or (in gun heavy countries) a gun.
It is any weapon, that is concealable in use and placement on body.

There is one weapon, which is perfect for females in particular - which is a keyring holder.
It is shaped like a miniature crowbar (but not metal, but pliable plastic) - which can fit in your jeans or pocket, or just being held like a knuckle-duster.

It can be used as a flail (with keys attached), a knuckle duster, or a point attack (concentrated energy at point of impact, temple, arm, anywhere).

I'm not sure if people noticed, or maybe I forgot to mention it, it wasn't just one guy. It was two, the one that grabbed me and the other that was the look out.

After lots of thought I don't think I would get a knife, because like stated, with out training it's useless, I feel something like mace or pepper spray you can easily take out both people with a good spray or three, then follow up with what ever you want.

also the area i was in was very small, i feel a knife would of been a bad idea because if they guy didnt go down, it would of been hard to go anywhere, and he would of been coming at me with vengeance after being skanked.

I am looking into getting some sort of brass knuckles, i know how to punch, and I'm also going to look into some kind of CQC self defense.

Pepper spray can fuck you up just as much as the person you're trying to spray. If you're really worried about it, look into martial arts and self defense classes.

Self-defense is useless. If you're facing a guy with a knife or a gun you'll get severe wounds or die, even if you have a black belt.

Also, should you get a concealed carry permit (VERY unlikely in NYC), it's pretty easy to fire a couple of rounds into someone from the hip, especially under 5 meters. All that shit you hear about people getting disarmed and shot with their own gun is because they hold it out in front of them, right up to their target, then try to SCARE them with the gun, rather than kill them.

There's two rules with firearms:

1. Don't point at anything you don't want dead.
2. Shoot to kill, not to wound. Wounded people can still kill you.
