I played it, give me questions and i will answer.

1. thing i hate is the line of sight. Its really annoying, the fog of war reveals itself like a water effect, it *flows* like water when you are walking units around houses and cover and such.

2. It weirdly reminded me of MoW just because of the line of sight, but the line of sight felt better on MoW

Did you catch any vehicle/tank combat?

If so:

What were the effects like for bounced/penetrated rounds (IE, did they look any better than CoH? Currently bounced rounds just half assedly "float" off the armour which has always bugged me, much prefer MOW's bounce/deflection system)

Is said combat any more/less lethal in terms of damage dealt?

Regarding infantry:

Do the ranges feel any different at all?

Does the environment have a significant impact? (Cover, snow, buildings, etc)

Just a couple for ya there, I'll post a few more when I'm not in a game.

I mean I know Obama was the first one in EiR to get a card. and tbfh the Race card is pretty OP. but Romney has the K.K.K., those guys seem to camo anywhere. So OP units from both sides.
At the end of the day, however, stormtroopers finally got the anal invasion with a cactus they have richly deserved for years.

@Hicks

no tank combat in the short campaign that i played. There are tanks in game, we were fighting around them, but they were immobile -.-

The ranges feel exactly the same, the infantry combat felt much more streamlined, infantry combat is (what i mainly tested) fantastic. It still has the feel of COH.

There were no *Heavy* snow that i saw inhibited my infantry movement and my infantry didnt decrease speed on ice. though i was hoping to see them slip and slide haha.

Cover is important as ever to reduce the lethality of the rounds. Much less then blitzkreig mod but more then COH. Infantry does seek out cover.

All in All, infantry combat, which is what i only was able to play at the time, felt fantastic, i was so excited to see the absolute realism in seeing the little mans fight for the lives, and Grim rag doll effects when a man dies.

I mean Grim ragdoll is when i was ambushed by Russians so i move my squad to cover behind the squad, and seeing one of my soldiers scrambling for the cover and getting shot and killed before reaching cover, crashing into the snow just before the cover, sprawled then curling up

So by the line-of-sight "flowing" you mean that vision can be obstructed by environmental objects?

I kind of prefer the new line-of-sight feature then to be honest. No more parking jeeps or motorcycles behind buildings and being able to see through them.

Have they upped the physics at all?

Yet again, I'll reference the comparison between CoH and MoW: In CoH it has pretty basic level physics (Ragdolls, bits flying around, preset destruction in buildings) whilst MoW has more developed physics with the ability to crumble down and literally drive through most buildings from any angle.

Is the suppression mechanic still the same? What were the squad sizes and how did they affect combat? (I.e if they were bigger, didn't that cause trouble with getting them all in cover etc?) What about the voice acting, is it still as amazing as in the first?

Can't say I'm really looking forward to the LOS change, I feel it may be incredibly out of place in multiplayer. Maybe it's a SP only feature?

Actually, to add to MoW physics way back in an MP game I had the game lag-paused right as I struck a KV2 with a Tiger at long range, the shell hit the frontal armor at a bad angle and bounced off... But the impressive part was due to the lag spike the shell was clearly viable flying up into the air at a correct angle, normally it's way to fast to tell properly but man, them be some physics.

As for a question... did you see any panzerwerfers or PZ.III's?  Wink

I never thought the voice acting in CoH was good. Sure it's nowhere near as hilariously bad as in MoW/FoW but it always irks me when Germans speak English with a lame accent in WW2 games.

Demon posession is real and it's not funny, it's the creepiest thing you will ever experience.

I would also like to add I watch fox news everyday all day and will continue to watch it while being proud of that fact. I'm sure you enjoy your communist news network just as much.

Well, I think it's one of the more amusing voice acting done in any RTS game I have ever played. You can always get the german voice files for the wehmracht faction if german accents instead of proper german really bothers you Tongue. I think from an accessibility point of view, making german units actually speak german is not a desirable thing. (Although it would be cool if they sometimes just blabbered some german/russian among each other or whatever)

I dunno, I rather enjoy the German accents for the Whermacht units particularly. I wasn't too fond of the PE stuff though.

Volks screaming at just about everything still amuses me to this day.

Relic said it will be a possible feature to change what language they speak in the options menu.

Why are not more of these ingame? Much better than hearing the same thing over and over again.

What are you thoughts on the current resource system?

How did you think the Selective resources turned out?

There no High/Med/Low Points anymore correct? Does the removal of Tiered resources values lend credibility to the need for aggressive play styles? (People[Idiots] are concerned that because you can dictate what each resource point is that you can turtle and still come out on top)

Well, they are all there in the files, so you could just mod them in if they aren't in there already no? Really, there is an extreme amount of funny unit responses in the game and that vid barely covers a 10th of them, if even that.

I like the voice acting in CoH. The radio messages from far behind sounds cool and some units have some cool sentences. But I think
if you click-spam on the units it might be awful to hear the stuff again and again.

But I'm sure not all of them are still in the game. I checked some audiofiles and found stuff that I've never heard before. Espacially the speaking when you enable FTFL or Propaganda War. (I think it got patched after a while)

I have a question: Are Molotov cocktails anti-infantry or anti-tank or both?

Also did you get to see how veterancy works?

Also will the Russians have bear riders with PPSH41 and vodka?
