If their was ever a time to patch the game it would be now. Just recently there have been a recent gathering of noobs we like to call this the "Quickening".

No but serously this is a prime moment to patch i count a total of 10 new players that i havent seen before and 5 more that are becoming regulars. With some Groundfire magic this thing might hit the ceiling again!.

Im not going to give you a "Soon"

We have an extensive RGD patch already done and are waiting for warmap stuff to be completed.

Its all like putting together a puzzle but we have to hand make each individual piece, unfortunately all we can do is wait.

You know, releasing the RGD patch while waiting for the warmap stuff to be done up would breathe a major breath of fresh air into the mod.

I mean I know Obama was the first one in EiR to get a card. and tbfh the Race card is pretty OP. but Romney has the K.K.K., those guys seem to camo anywhere. So OP units from both sides.
At the end of the day, however, stormtroopers finally got the anal invasion with a cactus they have richly deserved for years.

I know, trust me we understand. Its just the logistics of the stuff that's the problem.

If we have rgd stuff that relies on the warmap and visa-versa you cant just implement one and not the other because you break things.

I shouldn't say "Warmap Stuff" but what I mean is "Stuff that only EIRRmod can do" which pretains to the back end SQL.

Take for example Defensive doctrine, or any other unlock that "gives your squad one more man", all of those types of changes require extensive SQL coding which no one but EIRRmod can do.

We can sometimes get around it but at some point these things must be addressed.

True, mainline stuff will be a bitch.

However, how about a small chain of hotfixes for currently existing problems that you CAN work with?

It'd be a good way to show the community you lot are still alive whilst at the same time warming yourselves back up for releasing patches. All that and you won't have to do much in the way of content, just fixes.

I mean hell, my proposition to fix the Nebel? Increase the RoF, put the firing angle to match the Calli and remove the section of animation which has the Nebel point directly up before it fires. AFAIK, that's all possible doing RGD work.

Little things like that, ya know?

Right. If we could do hotfixs on the whim, we would.

Once you upload anything that goes with the launcher tho, things get more complicated.
Once this happens, the patch schedule gets taken over by EIRRmod. He makes the patches and patches don't go out with half done work or work that would break large parts of the mod.

Aye, anything launcher side IS EiRRMod's turf, and that's fair enough.

However, what's preventing purely RGD-side changes?

They're all uploaded and compiled to the same SVN. Its essentially the holding repository for all changes to the game's files.

After the next major patch, we will be returning to being able to patch RGDs on the fly.

Sorry for the inconvieniance - it will be worth it.

That's like offering Beer to fuck the fat chick. It will work for a while, but it's not gonna last. Not only that, but there is zero motivation for the Fat chick to loose weight.

Alright, that's reasonable.

What sort of time frame are you thinking for the major patch though? Weeks? Months?

Not months.  Ive gotten myself caught up in some recoding, and its just snowballled.

So yeah, I hate saying the catchphrase Soon, but thats realistic.
