The MG42 is technically not an LMG.

But it's still the best weapon used in an LMG role in the war... Germans had a good thing going with their "One MG to rule them all" doctrine.

The officer is considerably better than a riflemen squad at carrying weapons. Officers have good accuracy so they will hit most targets.

I'm pretty sure that the Bren was the best LMG of the war. MG42 was best GPMG, and M2 Browning best HMG.

ive read mixed results with the bren, it was joked that it was so accurate 2 bullets would go through the same hole, so it was a horrible suppression weapon.

lolwhat the ranger lmgs are useless?

unless its 2x lmgs. Which I think is no longer possible.
otherwise theres a reason why i never see them on AB or Rangers.
And when I do, I hear bitching from the player saying "why did i ever chose this stupid unlock"

And if we're speaking in the role of an LMG what you want suppression and secondly portability, the MG34/42 had both.

Raw DPS, the M1919A6 takes it.

For being readily available and being a strong weapon (Also an insane weapon with the correct buffs), the LMG42 takes it.

For just looking and souding cool, the Bren takes it. A bit saddening considering how reliable and powerful the Bren actually was, but meh.

I mean I know Obama was the first one in EiR to get a card. and tbfh the Race card is pretty OP. but Romney has the K.K.K., those guys seem to camo anywhere. So OP units from both sides.
At the end of the day, however, stormtroopers finally got the anal invasion with a cactus they have richly deserved for years.

This comparison is flawed, a bren is worse by default because it comes in pairs. If you wanna compare DPS, calculate two brens to 1 LMG42. Can't remember if the M1919 comes in pairs anymore

Would be interesting to try out a upgrade for tommies replicating the LT effect, let's assume that its spamworthy and that people bring out a LT when they are moving around with 3 squads and more, that means they should be paying LT mp/mun divided by 3 by each squad, something like a 50/10 upgrade for the squad putting the tommy bren squad at 280/85.

And then actually making the LT stronger and more cost effective for those who can keep him alive (price hike)

wow 5 munitions. Also what blows is that when you see a bren you can avoid it with a tank.

When you see volks or riflemen you have no idea if it has a sticky or not.

imo, the problem with brit officers is that both in vcoh (afaik) and here they require vet to be truly effective... Defensive/Commando/American officers do not require veterancy for their full effects.

The way I see it british officers are priced with veterancy in mind, but keeping officers alive in the EiRR environment is a downright brutal job. Retreating them is a bad idea even if an artillery shell is about to land on their head, after all, it's just 1 man and if he survives he still gives the bonus. Even then, a Capt'n has all but an awesome 55 health, so good luck with that.

Thus, I think their buffs should be redesigned as to not include veterancy. But I dont think they should be passive squad buffs... They are the flavour of the brits after all, lets try to keep that intact.

why not just fuse them together. give a one unit a cpt lt buff or something i mean he still gives sector defensive buffs and accuracy increase health and stuff. make him more exspensive.

Thus it will reduce the pool and pop needed to make combat effective units.
