i have to admit i dont know it. Maybe iam wrong.
pool is left with 3 points (reserve as well) after 7 without skirts. i checked kiting tanks with stug will be harder since you have to keep the turret pointing right as well

You can get 7 StuGs in Defensive, 8 StuGs in Terror and 9 StuGs in Blitz before you run out of pool. But at that point, who's gonna notice?

If the range on the stug is increased the suppression on the mg upgrade should be reduced a little or the pop cost is a little low.

Why? Other than the moronic sentiment that any buff should come with a nerf?

At 45 range won't the stug MG become insignificant?
Nice catch with the pool values - I haven't played EIRR in so long, I forgot we have different values for different doctrines.
@Nightrain
at 45 range the stug will be bouncing a lot more rounds as well.

The stug right now is good but with better range and with the mg upgrade it would be too effective at too different things so I guess I would be alright with a range increase but the MG cost seems a bit low for how effectively it suppresses but that's rather unrelated to this topic i suppose

I would reduce the AI on the main gun to compensate. Probably the best way to do it. As far as suppression...red cover is not your friend, and don't charge armored vehicles over open ground...

what about the people who like the stug exactly the way it is or wouldnt want the AI capabilities reduced? I'm not one of those people (i rarely use stugs) but i know there are those who would hate to see AI ability decreased.

Yet again, why? What is there to suggest the StuG would suddenly become the all-enslaving harbinger of doom with a +5 range boost? The hetzer has 10 more range than the STuG and arguably equivalent anti-infantry capacity. Been a while since I last saw one take on a horde of riflemen and just laugh.

I'm not saying it's needed, but it confines it to a role and might prevent some whining.
On the whole I think it should be buffed for what it costs already. It's the easiest armor in the game to shut down.

In my opinion nothing is more stupid then getting your flank stopped by a StuG or a Cuntwagon but overall I think it's not broken enough that there is a real need for fixing their HMGs.

You know, there's a bit of a fuel difference between the StuG and Hetzer to account for the range and (Slight in most cases) armour differences.

I mean I know Obama was the first one in EiR to get a card. and tbfh the Race card is pretty OP. but Romney has the K.K.K., those guys seem to camo anywhere. So OP units from both sides.
At the end of the day, however, stormtroopers finally got the anal invasion with a cactus they have richly deserved for years.

Don't forget the cloak, and how they fit into completely different forces, or the MG access or difference in supporting units. Those are all factors too.

The fuel cost difference is really not that massive, considering how much better a tank the Hetzer is in general terms.

TBH, I might almost suggest leaving its offensive capabilities alone and just making it tougher so it doesn't get LELrolled by the first AT piece that looks in its general direction.
