Honestly a bunch of us got it for more of a joke, and a bit of laughs. It is a badass game, and amazingly fun. Hicks, Rayze, Niko and I went through the first mission and had some awesome game play.

It was, special moment was...

*Post large wave*
-Niko "Hey, it looks all clear up ahead!"
*Niko walks around corner, 3 seconds later*
-"FUUuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu-"
*niko is seen running back around the corner full speed with several bomber zombies in tow*

Twas pretty funny according to spartan Smiley

Also, the thing does throw pretty damn massive hordes at you, at once point in the first level, well, if there are 4 of you you'll be throwing a nade and get "15 kills in 1!"... Then go "huh, really... Can't tell", not kidding.

Something about a man sprinting from around a corner being chased by angry zombies with grenades just makes me laugh

I thought about getting this, I loved sniper elite 1, and got SE2 as soon as it went on sale, though I haven't bothered getting past the first level, I'm too addicted to Dota2 now  Undecided

Other epic moment was when a zombie rose out of the ground behind hicks and was about to attack him. Rayze turns around, snaps a shot right through its head, and all i see is the bullet exiting the skull and whizzing right by my face.

*friendly fire was on

agree with TB 100%, generic zombie game with the slowcam gimmick tied on, if i want mindless zombies for 10 bucks, killing floor is same price but a better game

You should play before speaking killing floor is another based game
Then again this is the same sort of butt hurt comment that's popping up all over the internet.  Clearly the game would be better compared to l4d however it's a sound and well done game.  All weapons are equally used in the campaign contrary to the critics citrus of spray and pray and accuracy must be used or you will run out of ammo.

Guess this willv end up another gem that people refuse to try due to preconceptions

Okay Tig, so you've played it, with friends? It's not a bad game, sometimes mindless fun is just that, mindless fun.

Is it some amazing piece of art? Hell no! But it's fuckin' fun to play on the harder difficulties with 3 friends that's for sure, not to mention that the fact that it is based on their sniper game makes the zombie shooting feel better than a lot of other zombie games I can think of. The slight bullet drop and sniper mechanics (lite) they have in there makes it much more satisfying than other games with zombies I can think off.

And last of all, it's 10 bucks, if this was a full retail game I could see some of the moaning being valid but for 10 it's a steal, comparing is to KF is also a very shitty comparison as I've played that game a LOT and they feel very, very differently.

I started to consider Tig's opinion.

I then realised after a moment that Tig was simply paraphrasing/totally quoting Total Biscuit instead of engaging Tig's own brain. If Tig had engaged their own brain, it would have been realised that Total Biscuit had made a few errors.

I've already watched his video and thus already know what he says. He has some very valid points. Most of them I agree with. Some of them I do not on the grounds that he didn't play through any further than the first level (Which anybody is capable of plowing through alone, even with group level of enemies) and he didn't have the difficulty cranked up to maximum, where the game plays as intended (Such as making lung shots a move of desperation). His lack of playing through any further than half way through the first level also had him miss the fact that there are enemies which return fire, and turn up pretty early on in the game too.

However, I coughed up all of £8 for this with the explicit intention of playing it with others, not playing it alone.

Has it done what I wanted it to for £8? Yup.

Oh, and the War Z argument is pretty flawed. That game was subject to copious amounts of false advertisement, missing features, buggy gameplay, exploits out the arsehole, etc. The same problems that would be applied to say, A:CM. Sniper Elite: Nazi Zombie Army however presents what it has for it's price, and coding wise retains the polish of the game it was based upon. Is it a gem by any stretch of the imagination? Of course not, but for £8 I've not got any solid complaints that'd want me getting my money back.

I mean I know Obama was the first one in EiR to get a card. and tbfh the Race card is pretty OP. but Romney has the K.K.K., those guys seem to camo anywhere. So OP units from both sides.
At the end of the day, however, stormtroopers finally got the anal invasion with a cactus they have richly deserved for years.

But really TIG plis no more warz referance

Most weapons can one hit kill in the game. However vital hits (heart, lungs) will put down a zombie with the risk of it re raising.

SMG's can all one-pop Zombies upon a headshot.

However, with the exception of the MP44, accuracy beyond 10-20 paces becomes about as reliable as pissing in the wind. You may be able to pop off a zed at 50m with a Thompson round, but you'll end up expending half a magazine in controlled bursts just to get it. Much simpler to just crack out your Enfield and give him an eyeful of .303 than waste ammo that'd potentially get you out of a shit stir.

One thing I like about the game though, is that side-arms are actually very useful. Many times have I got myself out of a sticky situation with a few well placed .45's from the Colt. You can also use the Webley, which has some serious swagger points going on.

Why use a Garand when there's an SVT and G43?

Two reasons.

Performance. The Enfield has a higher muzzle velocity than the Garand, making long range shots a simpler affair as you don't have to account as much for wind speed and gravity. There's also the scope magnification levels which differ between every rifle.

Swagger. Bolt action rifles have a certain charm about them, and when all bolt action rifles in Co-op use clip feeds so you don't have to worry about single round reloads, it works out. Singleplayer has most bolt actions do single round reloads on the hardest difficulty though. I daresay it's disabled in multiplayer because the sheer volume of enemies would make it impractical. Bit saddening though, as the scope position for most bolt actions tends to have the scope block most of the receiver making full clip inserts a no-go (Single rounds can be fitted in fine though, obviously).

As far as the rifles go for performance, this is how they fair based off memory:

G43 - High magnification scope, kicks like a total cunt, alright muzzle velocity. 7 Round Magazine. Semi Auto.
SVT - Low level magnification, recoil is a bitch but muzzle velocity is pretty nice. 10 Round Magazine. Semi Auto.
Garand - Medium magnification, recoil is pretty workable but muzzle velocity will have you mortaring rounds at range. 8 Round Clip. Semi Auto.
Springfield - Good magnification, low recoil, good muzzle velocity. An all-rounder. 5 Round Clip. Bolt Action.
Kar98k - High magnification scope, mid recoil, mid muzzle velocity. 5 Round clip. Bolt Action.
Mosin Nagant - Mid magnification scope, mid recoil, high muzzle velocity. 5 Round clip. Bolt Action.
Type 99 - High magnification scope, high recoil, high muzzle velocity. 5 Round clip. Bolt Action.

Just about any rifle will do for cracking off mid range shots or closer, but you'll want something tailored to taste if you're keen on picking off the back-line stragglers or counter-sniping.

Not only are they Sniper Zombies, they also jump from building to building (Because hey, Zombies) after EVERY shot.

Now imagine 3 of them at it. Taking into account wind speed, gravity and distance can be a total bitch when your shot has to be made in approximately a heartbeat. Cracking a headshot on one at over 100m is very rewarding.

As someone who rolled trough the game with bolt actions, I have to say the game is the most fun that way, the bolt time actually makes you more accurate for the most part.

Well, if you play it with 3 other people, you get swarmed. It'll give you the overwhelming feeling right from the very get go, enough that you don't even think about the other enemy types. Once they turn up though? Immensely adds to the "Oh shit" factor.

Played the first level through alone, and I can see why Total Biscuit had the initial impression he did. You NEED the backup to deal with the sheer quantity of opponents that the game can throw at you, and really tones it down for single player. It's toned down that much that the maps feel needlessly huge in comparison to what you are fighting. It feels like more of a drag, that you've got heaps of time where you don't feel in the thick of it. Hell, the single player even holds back on bringing in one of the unique zombie types, likely because it'd eat your face if it were brought out at that spot and you were alone.
