The ranglist is one reason that all want, for good stats, play only in better teams.

And now should vet units do play a more decisive role and the problem will be greater, because all want make vet units vs stack teams without risk to lose them.

And the player wich can make and protect vet units are anyway good player and so it will be even harder for beginners and EIRR will not get more attractive to become more players.

Which of course, only a problem is if EIRR would like to get more players ..

New players tend to preserve more vet than veteran players. Making it harder to preserve vet does not exactly make it easier for new players either. On the contrary I would argue that lower vet requirements gives new players a greater chance of victory since vet units can do more with less management.

It's true, higher vet requirements just means even harder for new players since only hardcore players can preserve vet and it's also true that newer players tend to be more careful about vet where as veteran players care more about winning and have a long habit of not caring about vet since the requirements were too high to pay off.

There was a reason why the XP cost for vet was increased, It was to stop the 12 ranger Vet 3 coys that people like Lionel ran.

sure with the increased vet cost it made Vetted units harder to come by but it also made it so much more satisfying and rewarding in the long term to kill them, now even with the 33% reduction they are becoming way too common, this in turn will soon lead hoards of them returning bringing back the old argument of vet coys and how to reduce them.
that dissussion will either entail reducing the power of vet making it less noticeable on the battlefield or increasing the vet cost to make it harder to hoard them and still be usefull.

Actually, the xp cost for vet was increased because the ability to gain vet levels in a game was re-enabled. Previously you had to "Buy" the vet in the launcher once you hit the prerequisite level.

It was a pre-emptive strike, but one that wasn't entirely necessary as it restricted vet to either high tier players or vet whores.

I dunno. I've seen vet 2-3 Riflemen do things I wouldn't even think about having vet 0 Riflemen try. Accuracy, health and damage buffs go a LONG way.

I mean I know Obama was the first one in EiR to get a card. and tbfh the Race card is pretty OP. but Romney has the K.K.K., those guys seem to camo anywhere. So OP units from both sides.
At the end of the day, however, stormtroopers finally got the anal invasion with a cactus they have richly deserved for years.

Vet 4-5 isn't balanced properly and never has been.

Point in case? M10 gets received pen at vet 4. lol.

even so vet 3 on a tank(sherman) is much better than vet 3 on a riflesquad.

infantry is made for dying especially rifles and volks.

tanks are made to do the real damage.

and they should but i don't particularly see very man vet 3 rifles do more than throw a sticky supress a little then leave with some 2-3 kills if that.

Give a vet 3 squad a heavy weapon and watch what happens - damage increases on infantry in doctrines is rare for a reason.

I'm not sure how vet should make a weak squad not weak in comparison to other vetted squads, it doesn't exactly go up in price. In any case, vetted bar/greasegun squads can wreck some havoc if you don't respect them properly.

The officer is considerably better than a riflemen squad at carrying weapons. Officers have good accuracy so they will hit most targets.
