Yeah, no.

The changes are removal of pop to this platoon based system (where spamming is fine, and an actual tactic) to a pts to call in system will be trialed (which, other people likend to wargames system sort of).

In other words, removal of pool - slot based company creation, and a different 'callin' system is what was mainly discussed.

They are doing what EIR said, Also the slot system EIRmod posted it pretty much really really similar to Wargame.

You have to remember there would be no population restrictions ingame, the only restricting factor would be ingame 'cost'. We are thinking of running with some sort of 'credit system' ingame similar to the one that you use in the launcher to purchase the platoons. In game you would have a set income of these credits and a starting amount which allows you to field platoons, more map control increases your income but all units fielded also have an upkeep cost that decreases your income (like MP in COH). This means that population would completely disappear, it's a relic of the original COH and we really don't need it in EIR.

Also, players will still be able to call in individual units probably, but of course that means you are using a slot for just one unit when it could have fit multiple.

ofc i use 1 unit per slot. That way company becomes way more flexible in sense of countering what enemy have. In OMG i hated dat min8 pop call in. Funny thing was coming tank and u have fucking 6 - 7 free pop and cant call ATG cuz fucking 8 pop.. Than losing some shit to get dem atg and ofc countering tank u must call atg + mg, engie or fucking jeep. Hohoho
