you all know how i am, and i am fighting this thing with everything, but in the end it will present a better system.

I am actually interested to se ehow it works, and believe it or not... i support it as it will stop alot of bullshit.  and for the "good hardcore players"  it will present itself with end game options.

My on;ly fear is those same players will not help newer players, but in the end, peopel need to learn its jus a game.

Also, Casual players are casual for a reason...  Rember its not everyones goal who player EIR to get 2-5 games a day....    This sytem supports both.  IT rewards people who play smarter as well

Thanks, puddin.  Also, we still have some neat systems to reveal that should help balance casual vs hardcore.

Time for my first message then, i suppose Tongue

Yeah, this "PP" thing sounds pretty... Interesting i must say.
Tho as someone mentioned before about veterancy, does this mean like you have to earn PP in order to make some imba veteran units? It sounds like.. Playing and playing like 10 matches, gaining good amount of PP and making one unit (Tiger lets say) imba? Or getting godly amount of PP and purchasing ALOT of imba units? This part i didnt like that much.. O.O

Anyway... I usualy mistake these things so if i am anyhow wrong right now, please tell.. This just sounds baaaaaaaad  Huh

Puddin likes to cause people to get frustrated in game, but he's a very reasonable person with his communication.

I think some people are missing the point, and hopefully I understand it correctly.

With this system in place, sending everything you got to take out a certain unit will be well worth it now. Send all your forces to take out that Tiger, hey you may lose some vet, but next time you play against this guy you may not go against that Tiger again. This also means that vet hunting should not be an issue. Because people will be able to buy vet, plus it only makes sense to hunt down certain vetted units.

I only see good things with this new system, but lets wait and see how things turn out.

Buying vet would be a terrible idea, what the hell would be the point of keeping units alive if not to preserve there vet.

Now having said that I am of an pinion that vet should be more of an unlocking system in EIR, where the fully utilise a units vet one must pay for it.

Example, During game Rifleman Squad gets Vet 1, Game ends player goes to WarCP.

His Rifle squad now has a choice, A cheap Vet upgrade for say 10 Mun OR an expensive upgrade for 30 Mun.

Thus the Rifle squad get better, but at a cost. The reasoning for this would be that an experienced player would have to invest more of his resources into his Vetted squads as he progresses, then if he goes up against a new company they would have a larger amount of resources to spend elsewhere perhaps giving them a better fighting chance.

Of course the player may buy no vet upgrades, but the enemy won't know that.

Also if a player buys the expensive vet from 1 to 3 that unit should be very very good. But at a significant cost!

My fear being that griefing is increased. Not only do you lose permenant vet, you lose PP.

Lets say that vet heavy tank is pulling back. Drop RRs, kill, retreat. Sure you may lose more guys than you used to, but you won't lose the squad.

Loss for one player = PP + vet + unit = permanent.

Loss for other player = maybe having to retreat AT squads?

Again, why get vet for things like ATGs or support weapons?

Will my PP spent on units for vet be as useful as just piling it into Doctrines instead till I max those out?

Some of the things will need a clean way of thinking to understand how they work, the questions AMPM asks are fair questions and will be covered more in depth with the information vet discussion and soft capped availability when its released.

this release is showing what PP is, how it is earned, not exactly how it is spent in great detail.

more coming soon!
