We have a new pool to replace oversupply, this is called the Weapons Cache pool, and it is exactly what it sounds like, a pool for weapons and upgrades.

It's very simple, upgrades and weapons that are consistently spammed or deemed powerful enough shall draw from this weapons pool along with it's subsequent resources. Once the pool is drained, you can no longer purchase items that draw from that pool.

So, as the numbers are plugged in, you will see a dramatic drop off in some types of strategies that rely heavily on a particular weapon or an upgrade, etc. However, now that we have another category by which to restrict the usage of upgrades, players might very well see price reductions in the cost to employ such weapons. Panzerschrecks may come down in price, as well as thompsons, allowing your companies more flexability while not necessarily increasing the concentration of the weapons that get their price reduced.

Quite simply, this new pool is supposed to be a tax on spam, it's not designed to make companies boring and uniform.

I made a list of units and upgrades that should be prioritized when you implement the values for the weapon cache system.

Stormtrooper Mp44
Fallshirmjäger FG42
Commando Sten SMGs
Ranger Thompsons
Airborne Recoilless Rifles
Riflemen Sticky Nades
Volksgrenadier Panzerfaust
Knights Cross Holders Panzerfaust
Panzer Grenadier Magnetic AT Grenades
All 1x Panzershrecks
Riflemen Bazookas
All AT Rifles
Airborne Satchel Charge
.30 Cal HMG AP Rounds
Assault Engineer Shotguns
Assault Grenades
50mm Halftrack
Officer Artillery

These weapons or units are currently overpriced but must still be limited because if spammed they are too powerful, to limit spamming of these units the cost was increased but that just made them less appealing when choosing units. They should go down in price but be limited to an amount of upgrades or units.

Sharks are not monsters Henley, they are cute, cuddly and misunderstood. They love humans. sometimes they love TOO much. They love people so much that sometimes their kisses separate people into two flailing pieces which are consumed by other sharks in a frenzy of peace and joy.

From what I also heard, was that this Weapon cache pool was also designed so that you could have 5 pool vanilla rangers, but upgrading them with thompsons would bring them in-line with their former pool number. Can anyone confirm on this?

I'm loving how Assault isn't on your list of priorities.

I mean I know Obama was the first one in EiR to get a card. and tbfh the Race card is pretty OP. but Romney has the K.K.K., those guys seem to camo anywhere. So OP units from both sides.
At the end of the day, however, stormtroopers finally got the anal invasion with a cactus they have richly deserved for years.

Would weapon cache be a good way to safely bring back t17 stun (TAMED)?

I like the idea that Volks had about Phos rounds(t17stun) where instead of Having it like button it would just remove the Sight of a tank for 40 sec and lower the Acc a little for the unit.

Lower pool rangers pulling from Infantry yeah, but having a base 'cache' cost to compensate.

So, lets say they are 2 cache, they can lower their infantry pool to 4 or 5ish.

Same goes for other Elite infantry.

This system will also allow us to reduce certain upgrades that have had a high MU cost such as shreks or MP44s etc - as adding a cache cost will restrict their usage.

it will also be good to see units like engs/sappers be low pool cost until upgraded. they should be like 2 rather than 6.

Duh, me of course.

I knew oversupply needed to go, and the BT + Unkn0wn wanted to be able to assign some sort of pool to upgrades.

So, I killed two birds with 1 stone.
Luckily the police havent found either body, and Im not sure what this has to do with the Weapons cache, just sayin'

So is the oversupply really gone?  It's still possible (and quite annoying) to fight a single guy with 6 snipers in his company.

And when will the actual implementation of the Weapon Cache for units like rangers be done so they can be used as vanilla mainline infantry?  Is that slated for another patch?
