How come we haven't made this a vet 1 ability yet?
Would certainly stop all the QQ about the 12+ vet0 RR AB blobs axis players have to face.
Worked for Heroic charge.
Also worked for rifles and sticky spam(nerfed range pre vet)

Probably because no one was playing AB since 2009....lol

AB never really had any decent doctrine trees, so it got abandoned for the doctrine trees that made other things OP......like infantry doc
One thing removing the doctrine trees has proven is, AB is a very powerful doctrine with out buffs.

Interesting how infantry has basically been abandoned while AB is the new popular choice. Players will gravitate to what ever is most OP or broken.

Well that's just natural. In any competitive setting a player is gonna want to win and the stuff that gets the job done will be chosen, and the other popular options will be the other OP things that counter stuff like that. From the way it sounds, it will almost certainly shift back to Infantry being the favorite once Docs trees are put back in.

Ab is even more gimped without doctrines, simply because of horrible drop times and drift. Oh and useless strafe, but thats not caused by lack of doctrines, just the overnerf.

I'd be all for that to be honest, if we also made similar changes to stormtrooper cloak and possibly PE sprint.

Also, Most of infantry doctrines "OP shite" is in the tier 3 and 4's, some of it has been removed over the years (Double Tap, Allied Grit + Triple Bars) but most of the power still lies in stuff like allied grit and tank reapers.

I for one have always hated stormy cloak anywhere, its not EIR.  They should cloak in cover tbh.

Sprint isnt bad atm because it's 60mp a squad to buy it, whilst Fireup and stormie active camouflage remains free

Not gonna lie XIICorps, I like that idea.

A LOT of abilities could do with being shifted to vet. Not only will it help balance things out a bit, but it'll also give people incentive to keep shit alive.

Imagine if Marders needed vet 1 to lock down, Commandos need vet 1 for smoke, Airborne need vet 1 for fireup, Stormtroopers need vet 1 for cloak...

Suddenly, people will be a bit less inclined to zerg their shit. Bonus points if more units were given actual abilities for vet. Stat increases are nice but people love pushing buttons. Naturally it'd have to be stuff that augments what the unit already does but you get the picture.

I mean I know Obama was the first one in EiR to get a card. and tbfh the Race card is pretty OP. but Romney has the K.K.K., those guys seem to camo anywhere. So OP units from both sides.
At the end of the day, however, stormtroopers finally got the anal invasion with a cactus they have richly deserved for years.

I think I made a really long thread about storms back when I was newer and only played Wher, thinking back the idea basically came down to runing them into assault greandiers/tankbusters instead of ninjas...

http://forums.europeinruins.com/index.php?topic=24609.0

You know what, Who cares if they mirror PE squads slighly? Maybe they shouldn't be exactly what I listed (them g43's in hindsight...) and my wording back then was crap but hey, I'd still prefeer either the recon squads or the assault teams over current storms.

pretty much how I feel. Kinda tired of 20pop ninjas gibbing my FF or other tanks repairing behind lines.
Or 20 pop of AB firing up past those dual mg42s to gib my retreating tiger or other tank.

This mod is about vet and persistance, lets make vet far mor valuable

Seriously though, I'm totally DTF with this, it's RGD side so we could have this in with next patch.

Thats simply because ure fucking up left and right before u even finished one thing.Especially like the idea with none cloaked storms. Lots of peeps will get them with one shrek, non cloakable, high vet requirements and instagibbed by arty. Then think about how much it ll affect other units performance.
Then think about pricing etc, then think about how much u accomplished and can accomplish in how much time.
Its just how OMg ended : Shitloads of freaking ideas and noone to make it happen.
Need to remind u? It was like:" WE had this ideas but we dont have a SCAR coder". Who says that guys gonna stay, who knows if u get a new one?
Who knows if nikomas gets a life?
U gonna do all this HICKS?
