General
- Repair Kits have been removed from all vehicles
- All factions have gained a repair squad
- New engineer repair system has been implemented
a.) These new repair units will be able to buy repair upgrades in launcher
b.) In game, these kits can be activated. They will remain activated for 100 seconds and you may use that time to repair one vehicle or multiple vehicles.
c.) While repairing, these repair units incur a 3x received damage modifier
d.) They will repair at a rate of 4hp/s
e.) If the unit dies, all repairs that have been purchased for it are lost. They are not in a global pool nor are they transferable.

American
- Marines have had their modified garands replaced with a clone of the tommy enfield.
- The GMC will be made a non-doctrinal unit for the US.
- The base sticky bomb range has been increased by 5m. The bonus for riflemen at vet 2 has been reduced by 5m.
- The M3 halftrack .50 cal should be functional once again.

Commonwealth
- The Cromwell Command Tank has had its sight range bonuses reduced from 5m to 2.5m.
- Scottish infantry should no longer cause scar errors

Wehrmacht

This new repair system is gonna take a little time to get functioning the way we want it, constructive feedback on how it works out ingame would be appreciated.

I mean I know Obama was the first one in EiR to get a card. and tbfh the Race card is pretty OP. but Romney has the K.K.K., those guys seem to camo anywhere. So OP units from both sides.
At the end of the day, however, stormtroopers finally got the anal invasion with a cactus they have richly deserved for years.

I downloaded the update, and tried to edit my Coy, but I still see the repair kits on vehicles, and I don't see the new "Repair Squad," I assumed they were Engineer clones and bought in Launcher; if that is not the case please let me know. I even tried making a fresh Coy in case the old save was the issue, but I saw the same thing; repairs on vehicles, no Engineer clone repair squad.

Oh, and don't see GMC either; am I alone?

We'll have the launcher updated shortly, but the RGD stuff is all in place.

Over time will there be a type of repair bunker/ allied repair bunker thing, so that we lets say put so much resources in and the bunker will repair said vehicle?

That'd be in the realms of doctrines, if something like that is to come about I imagine.

Just to add. While we are waiting on the launcher to be updated to reflect this patch, the current repair system is still functional. So, don't worry that you might be wasting munitions.

Me and the toons will try this tonight. My head kind of exploded reading this but I think it's interesting. I'm pretty open to vehicle changes since the best unit will always be panzerpios.

Just so you know, until the launcher stuff is complete, it'll still be standard repair kits.

Everything should work fine and as normal EiRR until the change is done.

How was that  Inappropriate ?

Wrong place for it and you know it. Also, modifying a post after a mod edit is a poor decision.

We're aware of this, we've had some problems putting this patch together. We're gonna roll back shortly, and then sort out the patch proper.

EDIT:

Patch has been rolled back to R017 pending the resolution of a few issues with R018.

We're waiting on the launcher-side stuff to be put in.

That's the repair units, addition of GMC, etc.

The RGD side stuff is all good, such as Marine rifle changes.

We're waiting on the launcher-side stuff to be put in.

and since the only coder who can do that is scotz, it will happen at a random point of time that noone can possibly know.

so while it would be awesome to get a rough date on when stuff will happen, that would ruin the surprise, right?

Thank you for speaking on behalf of the dev team Metz. We appreciate that we do not have a voice, and require the public to speak up for us.

Except we don't. We have somebody to do that, which would be me.

How the team is handled, and who is doing what, is up to the dev team. IF somebody is holding progress back, it'll get addressed - But shouting around in public that nobody knows when things are ever going to get done is not productive.

I'll be quite honest with you, I will not give you a rough date on when it'll be done. It's the run up to Christmas and a lot of the dev team has been busy with their personal lives as such - which is understandable.

I will give you this however. We've not been idle whilst getting the launcher-side stuff up to date, we've been putting together the RGD-side stuff for R019 which will be making fairly large changes to LV's for all factions and how they are handled. The specifics, will come with the patch notes when they come about.
